Ann Stevens

Ann Stevens, 79, Mooresville, died on September 24, 2011. She was born on April 10, 1932, in Oakley, TN, to the late Benjamin Harrison and Winnie (Goodpastor) Clark.

Ann received her bachelor’s degree from Franklin College and master’s degree from Butler University. She taught 3rd, 4th, and 6th grade at Newby and Northwood Elementary in Mooresville for over 30 years. She attended the Church at Mt. Gilead and also the Plainfield Christian Church.

Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Lee Stevens, to whom she was united in marriage on October 22, 1953.

Survivors include her sons, James C. (Wendy) Stevens of Mooresville, Bret L. Stevens of Brazil; brothers, Harold Clark of Texas, Omar Clark of Florida; sister, Billie Evans of Zionsville; four grandchildren, Harrison, Riley, Craig, and Mike Stevens.

A memorial service will be held at 7p.m., on Tuesday, September 27, 2011, in the Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville, with calling there from 5 to 7 p.m. Inurnment will be at White Lick Cemetery.
