Benjamin G. Wood

Benjamin G. Wood, 77, Mooresville, passed away December 16, 2017. Mr. Wood was born June 27, 1940 and was preceded in death by his mother, Ruby Fields.

He worked for many years as a truck driver and a cab driver. He will be fondly remembered by his loving family as wonderful husband and caring father.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Ruby Diane Perry and Mary England; grandson, Christopher McGuff.

Survivors include his wife, Penny, to whom he was united in marriage October 16, 1975; sons, Michael Nunez and Benjamin Wood; daughters, Dorothy Toliver, Patty Jo Bell, Janet Wright, and Trecia Smith; brothers, James and Larry Fields; sisters, Ruby Spurgeon, Jeannette Levitt, Maxine Fickland, and Spring Hubbard; grandchildren, Jon Luke McGuff, Virginia Nelson, William Toliver II, John Toliver, Roger Cook, Kasey Brewer, Tamara Hill, Jonathan Hill, and Tonya Harper; a host of nieces and nephews.
