Betty J. (Tuell) Reed

87, of Mooresville, passed away on September 16, 2018 at The Springs in Mooresville. Betty was born on June 13, 1931 in Paoli, IN to the late Ray Tuell and Iva (Hill) Tuell.

Betty married the love of her life, Maurice Reed at the age of 16 and were married over 45 years until Maurice’s death in 1992. Together they had three children; Maurita, Phillip and Michael. In addition to raising her children, she worked as a packager for Federal Mogul for over 30 years until her retirement. Later, she worked as a greeter for Wal Mart at the Plainfield and Camby stores. She was a member of Mt Gilead Church in Mooresville and enjoyed spending time watching her favorite shows; Law & Order, Blue Bloods or her favorite sports teams, IU and the Colts.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Maurice Reed, son; Michael Reed and her four siblings.

Left to cherish her memory is her daughter; Maurita (Charles) Helton, son; Phillip (Samra) Reed, 6 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Wednesday Sept. 19th at 2-4pm at Carlisle- Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville, with the funeral services starting at 4:00pm Wednesday in the funeral home. Burial will follow the services in White Lick Cemetery, Mooresville.

While flowers are welcomed, memorial contributions may be made to Mt Gilead Church, 6019 E. State Rd. 144 Mooresville, IN 46158.
