Bill J. Turley

Bill J. Turley, 83, Indianapolis, formerly of Bloomington, passed away January 9, 2018. Mr. Turley was born March 17, 1934, in Morgan County, to the late Harold and Mildred (Plummer) Turley.

He graduated from Mooresville High School in 1953 and was employed for a period of time with Indiana Bell. He later owned RayCom Service Agency for many years in Bloomington. Mr. Turley enjoyed residing in Jacksonville, Florida during retirement years and just recently moved back to central Indiana to be closer to family. Mr. Turley was a licensed pilot and flight instructor. He was also an accomplished musician and could literally play any instrument he picked up. Mr. Turley will be fondly remembered by a loving family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Terry Ray Turley; brother, Jay Dean Turley.

Survivors include his wife, Betty (Brummett) Turley; daughters, Victoria Carter of Mooresville, Teresa Mundy of Ellettsville, and Melissa Wetmore of North Carolina; step-sons, Dennis Fowler of Martinsville and Larry Fowler of Monrovia; brother, Jerry Turley of Mooresville; sister, Barbara Charlene Fisher of Carmel; several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
