Harold J. Edwards

Harold J. Edwards, 93, of Mooresville, passed away Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at the Springs of Mooresville. Born February 15, 1924 Harold was the son of the late Harold and Roslyn (Scott) Edwards. On October 13, 1956 he was united in marriage to Lois Maxine (Baugh) Edwards and she preceded him in death on August 13, 2001.

Harold was proud of his work as a supervisor at Indianapolis Power and Light Company and retired after 43 years of service. He was a member of Brooklyn Christian Church, the Brooklyn Lodge #471 F.&A.M., and the Lion’s Club. He served as a Boy Scout Master for 30 years, was elected the Clay Township Trustee in Brooklyn, and served on the Brooklyn Volunteer Fire Department for many years.

Harold was also preceded in death by his sons, Jimmy Peedin, and Mark Edwards; his brother, Tom Edwards, and his sister, Joann Lowe.

Survivors include his children, Larry J. (Judy) Edwards of Plainfield, Bobby (Nancy) Peedin of Martinsville, Cindy (James) Tuck of Monrovia, and Marsha (Gene) McFarland of Greenwood; 10 grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren.

Family and friends will gather to celebrate the life of Harold J. Edwards from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 27, 2017 in the chapel at the Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory in Mooresville. The funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 28, 2017 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at White Lick Cemetery.
