Helen “Deloris” (Oldham) Floyd

74, Mooresville, passed away on May 30, 2017. Deloris was born on August 7, 1942 in Nashville, Tennessee to the late Forris L. Oldham and Agnes E. (Kemp) Oldham.

Deloris worked as an underwriter for State Auto Insurance for many years, before retirement. She was a faithful and devoted member of Gasburg Baptist Church and loved quilting and reading in her spare time.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Max “Jim” Floyd.

Survivors include her daughters, Rhonda Wilkinson (Jeff) of Texas and Lorie Dillon (Kyle) of Mooresville; son, Eric Floyd (Jennifer) of Mooresville; brothers; Charlie Oldham, Forris Wayne Oldham, sisters; Jean Carter, Barbra Mackey, grandchildren; Terah Adams, Ty Dillon, Brandon Wilkinson, Tiffani Dillon, Trea Dillon, Logan Floyd, Stevie Verhey, Shawn Verhey, and Hunter Floyd; great grandchildren, Keegan Adams, Jolie Adams, Sophia Adams, Chase Adams, Alivia Benson, Liam Dillon.

The funeral service will begin at 12:30pm, Thursday June 1, 2017, at Gasburg Baptist Church, 11564 N. Gasburg Rd., Mooresville, with calling there from 10:00am until time of services.

Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Hall. Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the church. Envelopes will be provided at the church.
