Lindo L. Evans

Went to be with The Lord on June 7, 2017 at the age of 80, after a brief battle with cancer. Lindo was born in Russell Springs, Kentucky, to the late Ottley “OC” and Maude (Abrell) Evans on September 7, 1936.

He married Barbara Antle Evans, who preceded him in death on June 30, 2015. He was also preceded in death by his sons; Christopher Evans, Bobby Evans, brothers; Waldo Evans, Esco Evans.

He is survived by his son Mark A. Evans of Mooresville, a sister Grace Henson of Springfield, Missouri, a sister in law; Beatrice (Dean) Coffey of South Carolina, a brother in law; Roscoe Antle of Kentucky and nieces, nephews and friends.

Lindo enjoyed gardening, yard work and fishing, but his devotion was to his family. He served in the US Army in Ft Campbell, KY. After service, he worked as a machinist for Bridgeport Brass, later Olin Brass for 38 years. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends!

Visitation will be held Friday from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at Carlisle- Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville. Services will be held Saturday at 10:00am in the funeral home. Burial will follow the services in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Greenwood.
