Rebecca P. Allen

Beckie P. Allen, 74 of Indianapolis and formerly of Mooresville, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 30, 2016 at her home. The daughter of Leslie and Lenora (Zins) McClintic, Beckie was born in Grant County, Indiana on June 20, 1942.

A loving mother and homemaker for many years, Beckie was also a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant at Miller’s Merry Manor in Mooresville for 8 years and at what is now St. Francis in Mooresville for 15 years; she retired in 2004. She was a faithful member of the Wesleyan Holiness Church on Minnesota Street in Indianapolis. Beckie loved flowers, gardening and cooking for her family. Above all, she loved spending precious time with her family and friends.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Terry L. Allen who passed away on March 11, 2005.

Survivors include her three children, Tim W. Allen of Camby, Tena M. Allen of Camby and Tamara “Tammy” Allen of Indianapolis; her brother, Frank (Rita) McClintic of Morristown, Indiana; two sisters, Myrtle (Dale) Moore of Muncie and Mary (Joe) Stunek of Greenville, TN; and her four grandchildren, Irvin, Brandon, Kalia, and Ashley.

Family and friends will gather to celebrate the life of Beckie P. Allen from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 5, 2016 in the chapel at Carlisle-Branson Funeral Service & Crematory in Mooresville. The funeral service will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 6 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Nebo Memorial Park. The family would like to extend an invitation for all to attend a reception at Heartland Crossing Clubhouse in Camby following the graveside service on Thursday. If anyone would like to send Beckie one last card, please do so, they will be laid to rest with her.
