Robert "Joe" Dennis

Robert “Joe” Dennis, 82, Mooresville, passed away peacefully at home January 13, 2016. Mr. Dennis was born July 23, 1933, in Indianapolis, to the late Ura Page and Dixie (Cook) Dennis.

Joe graduated from Arsenal Technical High School and Butler University. He proudly served in the United States Army. Joe enjoyed a 38 year banking career, retiring as a Vice President from JP Morgan Chase (formerly Bank One) in 1989. He was a member of the Mooresville First Christian Church and more recently attended Camby Community Church. Joe was also a member of the Lynhurst Masonic Lodge #723, Scottish Rite, and the Murat Shrine. He was an avid water skier and enjoyed boating. Joe loved cars, especially MG’s and MGB’s, and was a member of the Hoosier A’s Car Club. Above all, Joe was strongly devoted to his family and very proud of his grandsons, Ethan and Preston.

Survivors include his wife, Joanne “Jodi” Dennis, to whom he was united in marriage December 30, 1972; one daughter, Tiffani Bailey (Greg); grandsons, Ethan Michael and Preston Joseph Bailey.

Pastors Charlie Paxton and Kelly Nichols will officiate the 1 p.m. funeral service on Saturday, January 16, 2016, in the chapel at Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville.
