Thomas Elvin Lee
85, of Monrovia, passed away on July 1, 2022 at IU West Hospital. Thomas was born on May 31, 1937 in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Avery Leonard Lee and Marian Evelyn (Gray) Lee.

Thomas grew up in Indianapolis and was a graduate of Ben Davis High School. He furthered his education earning his bachelor’s degree from East Tennessee State. Thomas retired from the US Navy in 1977. He worked various jobs throughout his career working as a social worker for the Department of Human Services, over the road truck driver for JB Hunt and most recently worked at Fed Ex in Indianapolis. He was a life member of the VFW #111, DAV #3, American Legion #103 and Monrovia Masonic Lodge #654.

In addition to his parents, Tom was preceded in death by his wife of 28 years, Barbara Joan (Daniels) Lee; along with 9 siblings.

He is survived by his children, Nancy Smith, Timothy (Jessie) Lee, Virginia Lee (Leon) McClatchey, Brenda Sue Lee; and Barbara’s children; Ricky (Julie) Brock; DeEtta (Teddy) Shands, Donna (James) Jeffries, Kathy (Michael-Kevin) Watson, Claytina (Rex) Morley, Tammy Williams; brothers Danny, Larry; sister Sue; and 66 grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
