Wanda (Parker) Tomlinson

Wanda (Parker) Tomlinson, 71, of Mooresville, passed away Friday, June 22, 2018. Wanda was born on January 27, 1947 in Plano, Indiana, to the late William and Hazel (Rice) Parker.

Wanda graduated from Eminence High School in 1965 and continued at Indiana State University receiving her teaching master’s degree in 1969. Mrs. Tomlinson taught at Cascade Schools from 1969-1976 and continued teaching at Mooresville High School from 1997-2008 as a math teacher. She was a long time member of Alpha Delta Kappa. Mrs. Tomlinson was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church until it closed down, then she attended New Life Community Church. She loved to volunteer her time to the community and one place she enjoyed was the St. Francis Hospice. Wanda was into bargain hunting and garage sales, but she most of all enjoyed spending her time with her family. She is going to be greatly missed by her loving family and friends.

In addition to her parents she is also preceded in death by her sister, Judy Jones.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 45 years, Harry L. Tomlinson of Mooresville; children, Alisa (Kevin) Russell of Lebanon, Ohio and David (Rosie Manza) Tomlinson of Mooresville; brothers, George (Ilse) Parker of Lewisville, Carl (Mary Frances) Parker of Martinsville, Bill Parker of Martinsville, Blane (Gracie) Parker of Paragon, and Bob (Dianne) Parker of Mooresville; sisters, Dorothy (John) Clements of Bargersville, Mary Parker of Plano, and Barbara (Ric) Merchant of Greenwood; and three grandchildren, Natalie, Benjamin, and Kathryn.

Friends and family will gather Monday, June 25, 2018, 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., in the chapel at Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory.
