Allie Pauline Ragan

Allie Pauline Ragan, 84, Mooresville, died May 31, 2011, in St. Francis Hospital, Beech Grove. Mrs. Ragan was born April 17, 1927, in Tompkinsville, Kentucky, to the late Sevy and Daisy Golden.

Mrs. Ragan previously attended Gasburg Baptist Church and First Baptist Church in Mooresville. She had worked early on at Smitherman Hatchery and Gray Brothers Cafeteria. She enjoyed gardening, caring for her flowers, raising children, and listening to country music, especially Loretta Lynn and Charley Pride.

She was preceded in death by a son, Richard Disney; brothers, Dan, Delmos, John, Willie, and Kay Golden; sisters, Lucy Casteel and Mary Capps.

Survivors include her husband, Charles R. Ragan of Mooresville; sons, Michael Lee Disney of Indianapolis, William Daniel Day of Indianapolis, and Alva Burl of Greenwood; daughters, Judy Marie Scholtes of Indianapolis, Peggy Lynne Disney Foley of Camby, Joyce Ann Thurman of Mooresville; 17 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren.

Pastor John Crump will officiate the 2 p.m. funeral service on Sunday, June 5, 2011, at Carlisle-Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville. Friends may call there from 2 to 6 p.m., Saturday, June 4, 2011. Burial will be in White Lick Cemetery, Mooresville. Memorial contributions may be made to the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation.
