Barbara A. (Galloway) "Bobbie" Sublette

Barbara A. (Galloway) “Bobbie” Sublette, 75, of Camby, passed away June 21, 2020. She was born July 30, 1944, in Pennington Gap, Virginia, to the late Aster Galloway and Virginia (Burton) Boggs.

Bobbie attended Lifeline Baptist Church. Over the years she worked at Automotive Armature, Poe’s Cafeteria (but preferred the food at Grays) and retired from the Mooresville School Corporation. Bobbie was always on the lookout for a great deal, as she said “money didn’t grow on trees”. She loved traveling and the mountains reminded her of home. Bobbie will be greatly missed by her children, friends, family and mostly by me her favorite whether she admitted it or not.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son Larry D. Johnson; siblings, Paul Boggs, Jr., Bettyrhea Nelson, Janice Nelson, and Delores Nelson.

Survivors include her children, Johnny L. (Cathy) Johnson, Jeffery L. Johnson, Tammy S. (Terry) Goins, Melissa G. (Michael) Cowan, Eddie R. Johnson, and Onis L. Brown, Jr.; siblings, Mary Pennington, Shirley Walls, Peggy Nelson, Jimmy Nelson, and Wanda Gates; grandchildren, Mark Starling, Stacie Starling, Jennifer Cowan, Conner Brown, Leah Brown, Steven Johnson, Brittany Johnson, and Kevin Johnson; and 8 great grandchildren.
