Carol A. Grounds

Carol A. Grounds, 79, Mooresville, died March 20, 2012, in Terre Haute. She was born August 3, 1932, in Terre Haute, to the late Thomas R. and Mildred (Irey) Marshall.

Mrs. Grounds was a teacher for 37 years working in Indianapolis and Richmond, retiring in 1993. She was a member of Alpha Sigma Alpha sorority.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hoyett Dale Grounds, to whom she was united in marriage on June 30, 1956.

Survivors include her son, Gregory Dale Grounds of Mooresville; brothers, Thomas Marshall of Brazil, Larry Marshall of California, Jerry Marshall of Kentucky, Don Marshall of Terre Haute; grandchildren, James, Devon, and Megan Grounds.
