Carolyn Sue Willis
84, of Indianapolis, passed away on Sunday April 11, 2021 at St Francis Hospital in Indianapolis. Carolyn was born on September 15, 1936 in Indianapolis, IN to the late Margaret (O’Day) and Virgil Norris.

Carolyn married Douglas Ray Willis on December 31, 1954. They were married for 42 years, before Doug’s passing on June 18, 1995. She was a caring, selfless, loving lady who would do anything for others in need. A love for children and helping others, went hand in hand in her work as a day care provider for the Rivera Day Care in Greenwood for over 15 years. She often gave to help local food pantries as well as St Jude Children’s Hospital. Christmas was Carolyn’s favorite holiday. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends celebrating the birth of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Doug Willis; son David Willis and several brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her sons Steve (Nancy) Willis, Jeff (Jackie) Willis; daughter Marsha Schimdt; stepson Larry (Myra) Willis, 9 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Friday, April 16th from 11am-1pm at Carlisle Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville, with the funeral service beginning at 1pm Friday in the funeral home. Burial will follow the services in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Greenwood. All guests attending the services are asked to wear green and red in honor of Carolyn’s favorite holiday, Christmas.
