Charlena Kay Clutts

February 12, 1952 — August 28, 2016

Charlena Kay (Calidonio) Clutts, 64, a Morgan County resident, passed from this life in the comfort of her home, August 28, 2016. Kay would like to let you know that her work here is done. She received a request from above for her special talent of planting flowers and making things beautiful; it was a request she could not refuse and she will not be returning. This request also comes with a huge bonus, a reunion with family and friends she has not seen in a long time. Her new request takes her to a wonderful place where she will be of course gardening (a lot), socializing, and reading to her heart’s content. Music, laughter and love are all guaranteed. Food is delicious and you never gain an ounce.

Kay was born February 12, 1952 in Putnam County, the daughter of Frank Calidonio Jr. and Freda M. (Rogers) Calidonio. She married Michael Clutts on September 12, 1970, and he survives.

A dedicated wife, mother and homemaker, she enjoyed growing beautiful flowers, and loved mushroom hunting and fishing. She worked at D&E Machine Shop for 11 years and made many dear friends.

In addition to her devoted husband, Kay is survived by her loving daughter Christina L. Morgan and son-in-law Glenn “Man” of Martinsville; her mother and stepfather, Freda M. Siddons and Kendall, Chiefland, Fla; one sister Terry J. Brantley, Donaldson, Ga; two stepbrothers, Buddy Siddons and Harold Siddons, both of South Carolina; two half-sisters, Marybeth Siddons of Chiefland, Fla. and Karen Marie Siddons Walters, of Sparta, Tenn.

She was preceded in death by her father Frank; and two brothers, Roger and Danny Calidonio.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Thursday, September 1, 2016, 4 to 6 p.m. at Carlisle - Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville. Rev. Terry Crist will officiate at a service celebrating her life beginning at 6 p.m., following visitation. A grave site service will be at a later date and the location for Kay’s final resting place will be in her garden at her Mooresville home.
