Charles J. Stockhoff, 85, Mooresville, died peacefully at his son’s residence in Corydon on July 16, 2014. Mr. Stockhoff was born May 21, 1929, in Indianapolis to the late Charles and Clara (Bollman) Stockhoff.
He attended high school in Indianapolis and retired from CPC International as a machine repairman in 1991 after a 46 year career. Mr. Stockhoff was a faithful member of the First General Baptist Church in Indianapolis. He enjoyed cheering on the Yankees and was also good at tinkering and repairing things. Above all, he loved his family and caring for his loved ones.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Audrey (Fishburn) Stockhoff; a daughter, Kimberly G. Kienzle; sisters, Evelyn Laverne Beck and Bernice Marie Gillham; granddaughter, Courtney Stockhoff; son-in-law, Jeff Gilliatt.
Survivors include his children, Phyllis Gilliatt of Martinsville, Kevin Stockhoff of Avon and Nathan Stockhoff of Corydon; 6 grandchildren; six great grandchildren.
The funeral service will begin at 10 a.m., Saturday, July 19, 2014, in the Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville, with calling there from 4 to 8 p.m., Friday, July 18, 2014. Entombment will be in Maple Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the church of the American Cancer Society.
