Cletus Manuel Wilson

December 7, 1936 — December 22, 2018

Cletus Manual Wilson, 82, went home to be with the Lord on December 22, 2018. He was born in Kinta, Oklahoma, December 7, 1936, to the late Furman D. and Ethel M. (Nail) Wilson.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Nell A. Wilson; brothers, James, Jerry, and JD Wilson; sisters, Nancy Brogdon and Mary Furr; a great grandson, Matthew Anglin; and sons-in-law, Mark Anglin and David Ogden.

Mr. Wilson was a Korean War veteran. He served in the U.S. Army and worked at Stout Field in Indianapolis before moving to Taft, California. He retired from Western Well Production in 1992. He enjoyed traveling with his wife, visiting family and friends and spoiling his 3 Chihuahuas, Dotsie, Holly Berry and Jimi Sue. Cletus will always be remembered for his generosity and love for his family, great humor and contagious laugh.

Survivors include a brother, Donald Wilson (Frankie); son, Darryl Wilson (Lanette); daughter, Cherie Anglin of Taft CA, Lori Jones (Calvin) of Checotah OK, and Amy Kerper of Garden City UT; stepdaughters, Rhonda Bayles of Danville, Marilyn Roberts (Bob) of Brownsburg, and Rose Ogden of Plainfield; 20 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; devoted friends, Renate Broines of Maricopa CA and Jim & Bonnie Brown of Danville, IN.

Private services will be handled by Carlisle Branson Funeral Service & Crematory. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery, Plainfield. Contributions may be made to Danville First Assembly of God Building Fund c/o Pastor Phillip Bilyeu 3399 E Main St. Danville 46112.
