Daniel Allen McElhiney

Daniel Allen McElhiney, 29, Mooresville, passed away unexpectedly November 20, 2018. Daniel was born January 11, 1989, in Indianapolis, to David A. and Linda (Walters) McElhiney, who survive.

Daniel was a 2007 graduate of Plainfield High School and later graduated from Ivy Tech, where he studied public safety. He was a proud member of the Plainfield Masonic Lodge. During his younger years, Daniel was a Boy Scout, was on the swim team at Plainfield, and was also a cheerleader. He also enjoyed wood carving. A social and outgoing soul, Daniel will be fondly remembered by a loving family.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Delbert and Frances McElhiney; maternal grandparents, James and Julia Walters.

In addition to his parents, David and Linda, Daniel is survived by a son, Dyson McElhiney; his brother, Steven McElhiney; uncle, John (Tracy) Walters; aunts, Holly (Robin) Hartzell and Diane (Eric) Sullivan; great aunt, Carole Woodruff; a host of loving cousins.
