Darrell F. Nidey

Darrell F. Nidey, 86, of Camby, passed away September 27, 2019 at Worthington Place. He was born May 21, 1933, in Terre Haute, to the late Glen and Clara (Bowman) Nidey. Darrell married the love of his life, Judith Kay Shaw, September 1957; whom still survives.

Darrell proudly served for the United States Airforce and continued with the National Guard. He retired from Midwest Tank as an Electrical Draftsman. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, playing softball, camping, mushroom hunting, bowling, but most of all spending time with the grandchildren. Darrell was a very outgoing gentleman and could never meet a stranger. He is going to be greatly missed by his loving family and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a daughter, Kathy Nidey.

Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Judith Nidey of Mooresville; daughter, Darla (Mark) Robinson of Mooresville; and 2 grandchildren, Kayla (Phil) Utterback and Krista (Tim) Conroy.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, October 1, 2019, 5 to 8 p.m., at Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory. Burial will take place at Danville National Cemetery, Danville, Illinois at a later date.
