David A. Polikoff

David A. Polikoff, was born October 15, 1954, died April 3, 2014.

Dave was born in Brooklyn, New York to Gladys (Karpf) and Nathan Polikoff.

He is survived by his wife of thirty-one years, Nancy (Fanneron) Polikoff and his children Daniel and Katrina Polikoff; his sister Nina Howell; niece Nicole; nephew Devon; very special cousins; and his brother-in-law, Chuck Fanneron.

Dave was a loving and patient husband and a fantastic dad to his children. He coached Little League, was a Boy Scout Leader for many years, and cheered his kids on in whatever they participated in.

Dave was a graduate of Queens College in New York City. He recently retired from the Department of Veteran’s Affairs after almost thirty-five years serving America’s veterans as Chief of the Portfolio Loan Oversight Unit in Indianapolis. He started his career at the Department of Veteran’s Affairs in the New York City Regional Office, ten years in Washington, D.C. at the VA Central Office, and the last twenty years in Indianapolis. He was very proud of his accomplishments during the course of his career.

Dave was an avid reader, loved playing on the VA Golf League, playing poker, enjoyed watching science fiction and action movies, and had fun owning various types of sports cars over the years.

Dave was a member of Mt. Gilead Church in Mooresville, Indiana.

Friends and family will gather on Sunday, April 6, 2014, 1 to 5 p.m., in the Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville.

The service will be at Mt. Gilead Church, 6019 E. State Road 144, Mooresville, on Monday, April 7, 2014, beginning at 11 a.m. Pastor Jeff Faull will officiate.

Gifts in memory of Dave may be made to Mt.
