David H. Mascher, 75, Mooresville, passed away peacefully at home January 28, 2016. Mr. Mascher was born July 26, 1940, in Seymour to the late Harold and Harriett (Noelker) Mascher.
David graduated from Manuel High School in 1959. He was the owner and operator of AM Machine in Mooresville, a company that he founded in 1970. A proud American, David believed strongly in education and making educational opportunities available to his children. He loved to spend time on his tractor at the farm and had been heavily involved in garden tractor pulling for more than 40 years. His adventurous spirit led the way for many trips in his RV with his loving wife, his mother-in-law, and her sister. David will be missed by a loving family and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda May (Malott) Mascher and a sister, Joan Mascher.
Survivors include his four sons, David H. Mascher, Jr. of Beech Grove, Dale L. Mascher of French Lick, Dennis G. Mascher of Brooklyn, and Dean S. Mascher of Mooresville; brothers, Wayne Mascher of Greenwood and Steve Mascher of Indianapolis; grandchildren, Derek, Erin, and Kylee Mascher; great grandchildren, Kaleb Crowe, Sammy Mascher, and Karlee Mascher.
Friends and family will gather from 2 to 5 p.m., Sunday, January 31, 2016, in the chapel at Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville. The funeral service will begin at 11 a.m., Monday, February 1, 2016, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Brooklyn Cemetery.
