David Michael McCarter

David Michael McCarter, 69, of Mooresville, passed away December 31, 2018. He was born January 2, 1949, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, to the late Joseph and Mildred (Wallace) Barry.

David proudly served for the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Pittsburgh. For ten years David managed the Sober Living House in California. He enjoyed listening to jazz music, keeping a pristine car, but most of all loved his family. David’s good sense of humor will be greatly missed by his loving family and friends.

Survivors include his two children, Patrick McCarter of West Virginia and Shannon McCarter (Jim) of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; two sisters, Patricia Barry of Mooresville and Robyn Taylor (Malcolm) of Pittsburgh Pennsylvania, and two grandchildren, James and Hailey.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 12th, 2019, 11 a.m., at the Allegheny Center Alliance Church, Robinson Chapel in the Union Place Building, 801 Union Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15212.
