Donald W. Jacka

Donald W. Jacka, 57, Mooresville, died suddenly at home on Sunday, August 24, 2014. Mr. Jacka was born January 22, 1957, in Albany, California.

Mr. Jacka worked as a Core Administrator for Meritor 13 years. Prior to, he was employed at Automotive Armature and had also worked as a police officer in California. He proudly served in the United States Army during the 1970’s. Don was a loyal friend to many. He enjoyed western films, collecting antiques and movie memorabilia, and was a huge Elvis fan. He will be missed by a loving family and many friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother, Ronnie Jacka.

Survivors include his wife, Susan (Fashimpaur) Jacka, to whom he was united in marriage September 15, 1991; children, Erin Fowler and Brandon Jacka, both of California; step-children, John Gosnell of Greenwood, William Beeler of Mooresville; Jenny Chastain of Mooresville, and Darlene Parson of Martinsville; sisters, Patricia Vasquer and Linda Jacka, both of California; 15 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren.

A memorial service will begin at 6 p.m., Wednesday, August 27, 2014, at Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville.
