Eric E. Zahnd

Eric E. Zahnd, 35, Martinsville, died suddenly February 13, 2013, as a result of injuries sustained in a car accident. Eric was born April 12, 1977, in Shelbyville.

Eric attended Triton Central High School. He worked for Atlas in Fairland and APEX in Mooresville. Most recently, he was employed at Crane (formerly National Starch). He enjoyed a very broad interest in music, writing poetry and was a talented artist. Above all, Eric enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his three young children.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Ryan Zahnd.

Survivors include his wife, Ada (Elliott) Zahnd, to whom he was united in marriage October 9, 1999; children, Aryah, Clayton, and Dylan; father, Steve Zahnd of Shelbyville; mother, Sherri (Dean) Crist of Fountaintown; sister, Katelyn Crist of Fountaintown; grandparents, Esther Zahnd of Fairland, Marilyn McDaniel of Boggstown, and Ernest Dean of Florida; a host of loving aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.

The memorial service will begin at 7 p.m., Monday, February 18, 2013, in Triumph Church, 99 West Broadway, Greenwood, with calling there from 4 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Triumph Church.
