Geneva June "Noonie" Willoughby

June 16, 1932 — February 28, 2013

Geneva June 'Noonie' Willoughby, 80, Camby, died peacefully at home February 28, 2013. Mrs. Willoughby was born June 16, 1932, in Indianapolis, to the late H. and Osa (Swadner) Catron.

She was a self-employed child care provider for many years and also worked at Crest Cleaners for a period of time during the 1970’s. Mrs. Willoughby was a proud homemaker and enjoyed raising her children. She was a devoted member of North Madison Baptist Church, where she also taught Sunday school. In addition, she was a Brownie Troop Leader and enjoyed gardening and crocheting. A natural with children, she loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, David Burchell Willoughby, Sr and siblings, Mary Helen Wallace, Raymond Catron, Claude Catron, Laren (Lonnie) Catron, Phyllis Joanne Robinson, Ruby Elaine Robinson, Russell Catron, and Loudora (Lou) Blackburn.

Survivors include her children, Sheila Kay Keller of Camby, Marsha Lee deJong (Tom) of Camby, David Burchell Willoughby, Jr. of Martinsville, and Kimala Jo Smith (Paul of Lascassas, Tennessee; grandchildren, John “Johnny” Earl Keller, Jr. (Analisha), Salina Kae Keller Hammersley (Brian), Brock Andries deJong (Kris), Olivia June Stoner (Logan), Timothy “T.J” Joseph Smith, Daulton David Smith, Chase Edward Smith, Colena Cheyenne Willoughby, Heather Dawn Huff (Travis), and Suzanne Marie Short (Dan); great grandchildren, Mackenzie Earl Keller, Briana Nikol Hammersley, Braden Michael Hammersley, Aven Joseph Smith, Alaina Grace deJong, Shelby Dawn, Chloe Nevaeh, Jersey Paige, Madison Nicole, Logan Tyler.

The funeral service will begin at 10 a.m., Monday, March 4, 2013, in the Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville, with calling there from 2 to 6 p.m., Sunday, March 3, 2013. Rev. Billy Gott will officiate, and burial will be in the Fairfield Friends Cemetery, Camby. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wheeler Mission.
