Georgie L. McGlauchlen

Georgie L. McGlauchlen, 89, Mooresville, died at home on November 28, 2012, surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. McGlauchlen was born October 18, 1923, in Mt. Pulaski, Illinois, to the late Matthew Thomas and Alma (Weddle) Scott.

She graduated from Mt. Pulaski High School. She was a proud homemaker and was a member of the Mooresville Church of God. She was also a member of the Mooresville American Legion Post #103 Ladies’ Auxiliary and the Mooresville VFW Post 1111 Ladies’ Auxiliary. She loved to read, travel, and crochet.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John McGlauchlen; one daughter, Diana L. Hall; son, James A. McGlauchlen.

Survivors include her son, Thomas W. McGlauchlen (Becky) and John O. McGlauchlen, Jr.; daughters, Sue Miller (Ray), Vickie Poole, and Candace McGee (Bob); sister, Fern McKee; brother, Dean Scott; ten grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; son-in-law, Bob Hall.

The funeral service will begin at 1 p.m., Friday, November 30, 2012, in the Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville, with calling there from 11 a.m. Burial will be in Centennial Cemetery, Martinsville.
