Glenn W. Mills

93, of Mooresville, passed away on February 8, 2019 at The Springs in Mooresville. Glenn was born on August 24, 1925 in Camby, IN to the late Leland Stanford Mills and Elizabeth Lucretia (Furnas) Mills.

Glenn proudly and honorably served his country in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. After returning home from the service, Glenn met the love of his life, Nancy and they were married on January 1, 1948 and were married almost 60 years until her passing in 2007.
Glenn worked as a senior lab technician for Eli Lilly and Company for 39 years, before retiring in 1986. He was a 50 year Mason and Past Master of the West Newton Masonic Lodge #707. A faithful man, he was a member of the Mooresville Friends Church, Mooresville Church of God and most recently attended Gasburg Baptist Church. He also enjoyed farming, tinkering with old tractors, playing ping pong and golfing in his spare time.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his brothers Kenneth Lee, David S., Lowell E., Robert W. Mills and a sister Clarice A. Hale.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Glenda Morgan (Richard), Gretchen Dunham, Nancy Jo Hammel (Cary), Cynda Gibbs (Jay), 9 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren as well as good friend Madonna Bryant.

A memorial service will be held Saturday March 23rd at 3:30pm at Gasburg Baptist Church with visitation Saturday one hour prior to the services at the church. According to Glenn’s wishes he will be cremated and placed in Mooresville Cemetery next his beloved wife, Nancy.

While flowers are welcomed, memorial contributions may be directed to The Gasburg Baptist Church 11564 N Gasburg Rd, Mooresville, IN 46158, to support their various Mission work that Glenn was so supportive and passionate about.

Final arrangements and cremation are entrusted to Carlisle- Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville.
