Harold E. Koons
58, of Mooresville, passed away on August 8, 2021 at home after a courageous battle with cancer. Harold was born on February 20, 1963 in Lebanon, IN to the late Anita M. (Gray) and Joe W. Koons, Sr.

Harold grew up in Morgan County and graduated from Martinsville High School A hardworking, wise, dependable man, Harold worked in masonry for J.S. Hein Masonry for 26 years. When he wasn’t working, he loved watching Indiana University Basketball, NASCAR, Indy Car or any kind of racing when it wasn’t basketball season. He also enjoyed muscle cars, especially driving his Ford Mustang and Pontiac GTO. He was known to be brutally honest, never hesitating to tell you what was on his mind, but he also had a kind heart that would help anyone in need. He will be greatly missed.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brothers Joe W. Koons, Jr., Kevin Koons; sisters Jody Koons Roach and Kathy Koons Marr.

He is survived by his children Nicole Koons, Kassie Daviau (Brad), Donnie Pratt; sister Linda Koons Patterson; grandchildren Lila Pratt, Mariah Pratt, Alicia, RaeAnn, Kaylee Daviau and his beloved red nosed Pit Bull, Bella.

Family and friends will gather to for Harold’s Life Celebration® visitation on Wednesday, August 11th from 12-2pm at Carlisle Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, with services beginning at 2pm Wednesday in the funeral home.
