Harold L. Reed

Harold L. Reed, 85, of Mooresville passed away on Monday, January 20, 2014 surrounded by family. He was born on May 11, 1928 in Westfield, Illinois to the late Lloyd and Beaulah Reed.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Lila Harriett Cole Reed; his two brothers, Raymond and Robert Reed; his sister, Jeanette Harlow.
Harold provided for his family by working as a truck driver for 29 years at McClean Trucking Company and 14 years at ABF Truck Lines retiring in 1992. He enjoyed the outdoors; fishing, hunting, camping and boating with his children and extended family.
He is survived by his three sons, Roy Reed ( Beth ) of Plainfield, Terry Reed ( Carolyn ) and Van Reed (Tawnya Kuhn ) both of Mooresville; his daughter, Cheryl Reed Stanley ( Alvin ) of Mooresville; his brother, William Reed of San Diego, CA; his two sisters, Ruby Palmer of Frankfort, IN and Stella Green of Mooresville. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; Ross, Paul, Lauren, Ben, Miranda and Kincayd Reed, and TJ and Michael Stanley, and one great granddaughter, Lily Rose Albert.
Funeral services will be held at 11AM Thursday, January 23, 2014 in the chapel of Carlisle- Branson Funeral Service and Crematory in Mooresville with burial to follow at White Lick Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 4 until 8 PM on Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at the funeral home.
