Howard L. Schulz

December 24, 1956 — December 22, 2020

Howard L. Schulz, 63, of Mooresville, died Dec. 22, 2020. Howard was born Dec. 24, 1956 in Indianapolis to the late Howard and Betty (Rutledge) Schulz.
Howard worked at Target Warehouse TO559 for 22 years, retiring in 2017. He enjoyed woodworking, reading and playing Boom Beach on his phone with friends from across the world. He was a Karate instructor for many years.
Howard never met a stranger and his greatest pleasure was helping out friends both old and new. Family was very important to him and Howard took pride in making fun lasting memories with them.
He married the love of his life, Pamela (Carter) Schulz on June 8, 1975. She preceded him in death on Dec. 30, 2014.
Survivors include his children, Dustin (Sara) Schulz and Stephanie (Brian) Culp; siblings Mark (Nancy) Schulz, Pauline (Tom) Rutledge, and Debbie Yates; brother-in-law George Hargrove; and grandchildren Madeline Culp, Sophia Culp and Oliver Schulz.
Spoiling his three grandchildren was the purpose of Howard's life. He loved watching movies late at night with Sophia, Midnight food runs with Madeline and screaming matches with Oliver. He always had time to give advice to his "Pumpkin Girls."
In addition to his parents, and wife, he was preceded in death by a sister Kay Hargrove.
Per Howard's request, there will be no service. Cremation and final arrangements are entrusted to Carlisle-Branson Funeral Service and Crematory. Visit www.carlislebranson.com to sign the guest book or to share a memory.
