Jack E. Miller
93 of Mooresville, passed away on January 7, 2022 at Miller’s Merry Manor in Mooresville. Jack was born on May 22, 1928, in Kokomo, Indiana to the late Pearl Ellsworth Miller and Gladys Marie (Pickering) Miller Back.

Jack proudly and honorably served in the U.S. Army, just after World War II. On December 16, 1947, Jack married the love of his life, Margie Miller. For nearly 75 years, Margie and Jack built a life together, raising three children: Jack, Nolan, and Carol. Together, they loved to travel, especially out west and enjoyed seeing the mountains. Jack enjoyed raising horses, goats, woodworking and tinkering around in his barn. He especially enjoyed his weekly euchre games in his barn with friends. He retired from General Motors as a truck driver after many years of service.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Tom Miller, Gene Miller, Joe Miller; sisters Judy Schrader, Dorothy Hunt; son Jack E. Miller, Jr.; granddaughter Jennifer Baire and his beloved wife Margie R. Miller in 2021.

He is survived by his son and daughter in law, Nolan and Tammy Miller of Martinsville; his daughter and son in law, Carol and Joe Baire of Indianapolis; daughter in law Gloria Miller; 6 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren and 14 great-great grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by a loving family and friends.

A celebration of Jack’s life will be held privately at a later date.
