James "Jimmy" Clevenger

December 23, 1956 — January 10, 2022

James “Jimmy” Clevenger, 65, Greencastle, went home to be with his Savior January 10, 2022. Jimmy was born December 23, 1956, in Indianapolis, to the late James D. Clevenger and Cathrine (Ratliff) Ford.

Jimmy grew up in Mooresville and attended Mooresville High School. A certified, custom and very capable mechanic, Jimmy was the owner and operator of Jimmy’s Diesel Shop. He also had worked for Yellow Freight and was the former owner of Mountain Motors Engineering, in Pikeville, Kentucky, which specialized in Harley Davidson Motorcycles. Jimmy was a member of the Local Teamsters Union #135. A very faith-filled and Godly man, Jimmy was a member and trustee at Putnamville Baptist Church. He led many people to the Lord and was courageous enough to speak to others about his own testimony with Jesus Christ. Jimmy had a gift to pray and personally speak to the Lord, which will be missed by his church family. Truly a man for others, Jimmy always put the needs of others before his own. He loved to spend time with his grandchildren, ride his motorcycle, and looked forward to watching evening sunsets with his loving wife Angie and his beloved dog Benson. Jimmy will be fondly remembered by his loving family and brotherhood of friends for his loyalty, faithfulness, strength and honor.

Survivors include his wife, Angie (Hewitt) Clevenger, to whom he was united in marriage January 4, 1992; children, Dana Franklin, Sasha Serrano, Jason (Heather) Stader, Cassie Martin, and Cody (Caris Wagner) Stader; brother, Keith (Bonnie) Clevenger; 14 grandchildren.
