Jimmy K. Keen

Jimmy K. Keen, 74 of Plainfield passed away the evening of January 15, 2016 in the comfort of his home and surrounded by all of his loving family. He was born December 6, 1941 in Celina, TN to the late Weaver and Golda (Bilbrey) Keen. On June 5, 1964 Jimmy was united in marriage to his loving wife, Susan C. (Sterling) Keen; she survives.

No stranger to hard work, Jimmy worked in the Indiana parts warehouse as the warehouse manager for Car Quest for over 20 years; he retired in 1984. He enjoyed baseball and football; among his favorite teams were the Washington Red Skins and the Indianapolis Colts. Most of all, Jimmy enjoyed spending time at home with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Other survivors include his four daughters, Kathy (Scott) Gist of Plainfield, Patty (Tage) Holder of Avon, Rhonda Eickhoff of Plainfield and Sheila Key of Tennessee; eight grandchildren, Jacob and Emily Gist, Ashley (Jay) Settle, Amanda (Brian) Stumbaugh, Jimmy Holder, Alyssa Franklin, Dylan and Marlie Eickhoff; four great grandchildren, Troy, Molly and Blake Larrison and Ty Settle; two brothers, Pharris and Larry Keen both of Tennessee and two sisters, Faye Burris and Dean MaHaffey both of Tennessee and many nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Bud and Mac Keen and a sister, Jeanie Davis.

Family and friends will gather for visitation from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, January 18 in the chapel at Carlisle-Branson Funeral Service & Crematory in Mooresville. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home; following the funeral services, Jimmy’s wishes were to be cremated.
