John P. Millet

John P. Millet, 85, Mooresville, died April 6, 2012, in St. Francis Hospital, Mooresville. He was born May 23, 1926, in Indianapolis, to the late William L. and Bertha (Higbie) Millet.

He graduated from Ben Davis High School. John was a proud WWII veteran of the United States Army. He worked as a machinist for many years at Allison Division of General Motors. John was a member of the Waverly Baptist Church and also enjoyed music.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Carol Simmons; brother, Charles Millet; sister, Rosalie Kimman.

Survivors include his wife, Virginia (Marshall) Millet, to whom he was united in marriage on February 10, 1951; son, Michael Millet of Mooresville; sister, Mary Gladson of Beech Grove; grandson, Jason Millet; 3 nieces; 2 nephews.

Pastors David Ball and Paul Gentry will officiate the 12 Noon funeral service on Wednesday, April 11, 2012, at Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville, with calling there from 10 a.m. Burial will be in Round Hill Cemetery, Indianapolis.
