Joyce Elaine Jones

Joyce Elaine (Firestone) Jones, 77, of Frankfort, passed away July 1, 2019. She was born March 18, 1942, in Noblesville, Indiana, to the late Raymond and Kathleene (Johnson) Firestone.

Joyce worked 35 years at Federal Mogul as a press operator. She was a member of Scotland Christian Church and also a Sunday school teacher. She was known to give much of her time to the food pantry in Michigan Town. Joyce enjoyed reading, doing puzzle books, and gambling boats. Joyce's strong independent personality is going to be greatly missed by her loving family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her son, John Jones; and siblings, Charles Firestone, Nancy Lockhart, and Mary Kay Firestone.

Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Paul Jones Sr. of Frankfort, daughters, Theresa Jones of Camby, Robin (Dave) Toney of Frankfort, Pam Jones of California, Mindy (Bruce) Stuard of Elwood, and Debbie (Chad) Powell of Kentucky; son, Paul (Alice) Jones, Jr. of Thorntown, 14 grandchildren; and several great grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Friday, July 5, 2019, at Scotland Christian Church. The funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. Pastor Steve Coultas will officiate, and burial will follow at Scotland Cemetery.
