Judith E. Helton

84, of Mooresville, passed away on November 18, 2018 at home surrounded by her family. Judith was born on November 10, 1934 in Bloomington, IN to the late John Roger Kerr and Julia E. (Payne) Kerr.

Judith was fiercely independent, loyal and would help anyone in need. She loved her family and was a pillar of strength for others during troubled times. Judith worked in accounting and bookkeeping for IUPUI for 35 years before retiring. She married the love of her life, Charles Gilbert Helton and was married for 48 years, until his passing.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Roger Keith Kerr, Donald Kerr and John Earl Kerr.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Carole (David) Bridges, Sandy (Henry) Tipps, Jacky (Jim) Myrick; son, Charles (Maurita) Helton; sister, Mary Baxter; 11 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Friday from 11am-1pm at Carlisle- Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville, with funeral services Friday at 1pm in the funeral home.

Burial will follow the services in White Lick Cemetery, Mooresville.
