Karen DeLance (Melvin) Meek

58, of Plainfield, IN passed away on June 7, 2019 at Methodist Hospital. Karen was born on October 4, 1960 in Martinsville, IN to the late Henry Paul Melvin and Marjorie Irene (DeVore) Melvin.

Karen was a graduate of Marian University, with a degree in nursing. She worked for various places, most recently as a home health nurse. She enjoyed being outdoors, riding her bike, gardening and loved animals of all kinds. Her loving and kind heart will be greatly missed by all.

Survivors include her son Chase Meek; brother David Paul Melvin; cousin Kathy Morehead and many friends and extended family.

At this time there are no services planned. It was Karen’s wish was to be cremated and scattered at some of her favorite destinations to travel. She also requested that memorial contributions be made in her memory to any animal shelter of the donor’s choice.

Cremation and final arrangements are entrusted to Carlisle- Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville, IN.
