Kenneth N. Sawyer

84, of Mooresville, passed away January 25, 2018 at home. Kenneth was born on February 1, 1933 in Hendricks County, Indiana to the late Charles A. Sawyer and Lula M. (Hyatt) Sawyer.

Kenneth honorably served his country in the U.S. Army from 1953- 1955. He married Della C. (Poe) Sawyer on November 13, 1954 and celebrated 50 years together, until her passing in 2003. He was a machine shop foreman for McBroom Company for 29 years, retiring in 1995. He was also a member of the American Legion Post #130 and the Fraternal Order of The Eagles, Mooresville. In his spare time, he enjoyed turning a wrench and was a self-taught mechanic who could fix just about anything.

In addition to his parents, and beloved wife, he was preceded in death by his siblings; Cecil, Wilma, Marie, William “Bud”, Virginia, Tommy, Anna Bell, Helen and a grandson Joseph Sawyer.

He is survived by his son; Kevin B. (Laura) Sawyer, brother; Keith (Rhea) Sawyer, one grandchild and two great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Sunday from 2-6pm at Carlisle- Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville. Funeral services will be held Monday at 10:00am in the funeral home. Burial will follow the services in White Lick Cemetery, Mooresville.
