Kevin O. Sanders

Kevin O. Sanders, 58, of Greenwood, passed away Monday, April 3, 2017 at his home in Greenwood, surrounded by his loving family and a host of friends after a sudden, but courageous battle with cancer. Born June 30, 1958 in Indianapolis, Kevin was the son of the late Clarence C. Sanders and Lois R. (Lane) Sanders; his mother survives and resides in Mooresville. On April 12, 1986, he was united in marriage to Phyllis A. (Ross) Sanders and she survives.

Kevin was hard working and an excellent provider for his family. He was self-employed as a contractor, working in heating and cooling, and the remodeling of homes. He enjoyed woodworking and spending precious time with his loving family.

Survivors include his wife of nearly 32 years, Phyllis; two sons, Shane O. (April) Sanders of Martinsville, and Matthew R. Sanders of Greenwood; his daughter, Amanda J. (Chris) Short of Mooresville; two brothers, Ronnie (Cindy) Sanders of Greenwood and Clarence “Danny” Sanders of Mooresville; three sisters, Sheila (Frank) Lang of Alexandria, Indiana, Crystal (Ernest) Herrera of Mooresville, and Dawn (William) Thompson of Mooresville; four grandchildren, Griffin Sanders, Keegan Short, Kolten Short, and Tucker Sanders; and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will gather to celebrate the life of Kevin O. Sanders from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. on Friday, April 7, 2017 at Carlisle-Branson Funeral Service & Crematory in Mooresville. The memorial service will begin at 3:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
