Kirk J. Cravens

67, of Martinsville, passed away November 14, 2018 at St Francis Hospital South. Kirk was born on August 13, 1951 in Indianapolis, IN to Walter Cravens and Dixie (Wager) Cravens.

Kirk grew up in the Eagledale area on Indianapolis’s Westside. Kirk enjoyed being outdoors and worked various jobs over his life, mostly as a handyman and groundskeeper for many apartment complexes over the years. In his spare time, he enjoyed the solitude of nature and enjoying riding his bike through Eagle Creek Park and hiking the trails. He also enjoyed watching his brother play in various bands and would often help as a roadie to help transport the gear for the bands.

He was preceded in death by his mother; Dixie Cravens.

He is survived by his father; Walter Cravens, brother; Chris Cravens, sister; Peggy West, aunt; Jerri Lester and 4 nieces and nephews.

According to Kirk’s wishes, he will be cremated and a private gathering to remember Kirk will take place at a later date.
