Lanny Robbin Gibbons

Lanny Robbin Gibbons, 64, Greenwood, formerly of Martinsville, passed away November 4, 2018. Lanny was born March 4, 1954, in Burksville, Kentucky, to the late Raymond Mitchell and Nelda (Vibbert) Gibbons.

He graduated from Mooresville High School in 1972 and also attended the Indiana College of Mortuary Science. Lanny excelled in gardening and landscaping, working for several years at Indiana Central College. He loved flowers, caring for his fish tanks, fishing, and keeping in touch with his friends on the computer. Music was very important to Lanny, and he was exceptionally fond of Rod Stewart. He attended Bluff Creek Christian Church for many years. Lanny will be fondly remembered by a loving family and many friends.

Survivors include his sisters, Rita Dorsey of Indianapolis and Needa Raye Gilvin of Franklin; one brother, Ricky Wayne Gibbons of Florida; a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, November 7, 2018, 5 - 7 p.m., at Carlisle - Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville. The funeral service will follow at 7 p.m. The committal service will be at 11 a.m., Thursday, November 8, 2018, in IOOF Cemetery, Waverly.
