Laura H. (Moore) Kern

Laura H. (Moore) Kern, 92, of Mooresville, passed away April 29, 2018, surrounded by her loving family. Laura was born March 1, 1926, to the late John and Bessie (Bevins) Moore. She was united in marriage to the late Marvin Kern on August 29, 1964.

Laura was a long time member of Mooresville Library book club and the First Christian Church of Mooresville. She was a fixture in the Sunday school class. Mrs. Kern worked for the Mooresville Consolidated Schools Corporation for 14 years. She also enjoyed a nice walk every day, reading, going to the Senior Center, and spending time with her family. She is going to be greatly missed by her loving family.

In addition to her parents and husband, she is also preceded in death by 12 siblings.

Survivors include her daughters, Teresa Kroll of California and Rexann (Joe) Trester of Greenwood; two grandchildren, Joe and Leigh; and two great grandchildren, Jocelyn and Rebecca.

Family and friends will gather to celebrate the life of Laura Kern on Tuesday, May 1, 2018, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m., in the chapel at Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory. The funeral service will begin at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 2, at the funeral. Burial will be at Mooresville Cemetery at a later date.
