Lavinia Shouse Smith

Lavinia Rossetti Shouse Smith, 55, Mooresville, died May 23, 2012. Mrs. Smith was born December 12, 1956, in Dayton, Ohio, to the late Ray Allen Shouse and Mattie Glynne (Faught) Shouse, who survives.

Lavinia graduated from Mooresville High School in 1975. She was employed by the Martinsville School System for 25 years, managing the bookstore for many years, and more recently working in the Administration Building. Mrs. Smith loved boating and spending time with her family, especially her granddaughter, Addison Rae. She will be missed by a loving family and many friends.

Survivors include her daughters, Stephania Marshall (Varnie) of Indianapolis and Jaime Smith of Greenwood; mother, Mattie (Faught) Shouse of Camby; brother, Ronald Shouse (Jane) of Mooresville; granddaughter, Addison Rae Marshall; former spouse, Tony Smith of Bloomington; nephew, Matthew Ray Shouse of Mooresville.

The funeral service will begin at 11 a.m., Saturday, May 26, 2012, at the Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville, with calling there from 4 to 8 p.m., Friday, May 25, 2012. Burial will be in White Lick Cemetery, Mooresville. Memorial contributions may be made to the Parkinson Awareness Foundation.
