Lawrence L. O'Connor

December 8, 1957 — June 23, 2013

Lawrence L. O’Connor, 55, Mooresville, died peacefully at home June 23, 2013, surrounded by his loving family. Mr. O’Connor was born December 8, 1957, in Indianapolis, to the late Maurice O’Connor and Frances Marie (Puckett) O’Connor, who survives.

Larry attended Martinsville High School and proudly served in the United States Army. He worked in management for the Unites States Postal Service for 26 years, retiring in 2002. He was a member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church and had also coach CYO basketball. Larry enjoyed fishing and classic cars. He will be missed by his loving family and many friends.

Survivors include his mother, Frances Marie O’Connor of Mooresville; son, Travis Maurice O’Connor of Mooresville; brother, Maurice Rodney O’Connor of Mooresville; sisters, Pamela Ann O’Connor of Mooresville and Denise Coffman of Franklin; former spouse, Lisa O’Connor; several nieces and nephews.

Friends and family will gather on Tuesday, June 25, 2013, 4 to 8 p.m., in St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 1200 N. Indiana St., Mooresville. The Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10 a.m., Wednesday, June 26, 2013, in the church. Burial, with military honors, will follow in St. Martin Cemetery, Martinsville. Memorial contributions may be made to the Quality of Life Fund, c/o the Community Foundation of Morgan County.
