76, of Mooresville, passed away on June 3, 2021 at Meadow Lakes in Mooresville. Leona was born on November 18, 1944 in Fall River, Massachusetts.

Leona enjoyed going to the beaches, especially in Florida. It was there that she met her husband, Mark Hommel after the loss of her first husband. She also enjoyed spending time with her family. She will be missed by all.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, her siblings and a daughter Sandra.

She is survived by her husband of 25 years, Mark Hommel; daughters Michelle, Susie, Denise, Anita; 4 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

According to her wishes, Leona will be cremated and a private celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
