Lois Hall Ehle

Lois Hall Ehle, 83, Mooresville, died peacefully September 22, 2013, in IU West Hospital, Avon. Lois was born January 24, 1930 in Alexandria, Indiana.

She graduated from Alexandria High School in 1948. Their family relocated to Mooresville, Indiana in the 1950’s. Lois worked for the Bud & Bloom Florist for more than 20 years. She had been a member of the First United Methodist Church and Bluff Creek Christian Church. More recently, she was an active and devoted member of the Church at Mt. Gilead. In addition, Lois was a member of Kappa Kappa Sigma Sorority. She was an avid sports fan and enjoyed reading. She collected Snow White memorabilia, Hummels, and elephant figurines. A very caring and giving person, Lois was known for the neighborhood carnivals she and the family would host annually. Her smile could light up any room. Lois will be missed by her loving family and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Harry L. Hall and her second husband, Howard L. Ehle; half-siblings, Frank Thompson and Sandra Thompson; grandson, Luke Davee.

Survivors include her daughters, Alice K. DeHoff (Steve) of Coatesville, Nancy Avila (Art) of Mooresville, Sherry Brown (Darrell) of Mooresville, Shirley Weedling (Jeff) of Mooresville, John Ehle of Greenwood and Scott Ehle of Ohio; daughters, Birdella Ann Boone (Gleen) of Virginia, and Robin Davee (Randy) of Mooresville; grandchildren, Lois, Doug, Erica, Norma Jean, Nick, Cindy, Priscilla, Stephanie, Timmy, Elizabeth, Khristal, Carrie Ann, Desi, Brad and Drew; 14 great grandchildren; half-siblings, Robert Thompson of North Carolina, Carol Ann Fasel of California, Claudia Morrell of Kansas, and Janice Morris of Ohio.

The funeral service will begin at 10 a.m., Thursday, September 26, 2013, in the Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville, with calling there from 4 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, September 25, 2013. The graveside will be held on Thursday at 3 p.m., in Park View Cemetery, Alexandria. Memorial contributions may be made to Boys Town. Envelopes will be provided at the funeral home.
