Mary Allen, 77, Mooresville, died May 11, 2011, in Indiana University Hospital. Mrs. Allen was born September 15, 1933, in Beech Grove, to the late Fred and Florence Floyd.

Mrs. Allen was the co-owner of Allen Body Shop for many years along with her late husband, Robert. She also enjoyed antiquing, but above all, loved spending time with her grandchildren. Mrs. Allen will be remembered as a strong and gentle person.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; brother, Raymond Floyd; sister, Helen Buzzard.

Survivors include her children, Jan Mathis (Mark) of Mooresville, Taryn Powell (Ernie) of Mooresville, and Rob Allen (Sandra) of Mooresville; brother, Robert Floyd of Beech Grove; sister, Doris Sears of Carmel; 9 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren.

The funeral service will begin at 3 p.m., Sunday, May 15, 2011, at Carlisle-Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville, with calling there from 1 p.m. Burial will be in White Lick Cemetery, Mooresville.
