Mary C. Payne

Mary C. Payne, 92, Mooresville, died November 18, 2012. She was born February 10, 1920, in Indianapolis, to the late Jesse and Frances (Bisesi) Ciresi.

Mary worked for a long period of time at Western Electric in Indianapolis. She faithfully attended St. Susanna Catholic Church, Plainfield. Mary loved gardening and working in her flowerbeds. She kept an immaculate house, enjoyed watching NASCAR, and adored Jeff Gordon.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Sam Venezia; former husband, Walter Payne; sister, Fran Giovanoni; grandchild, Anthony Venezia, II.

Survivors include her son, Anthony Venezia (Sandra) of Lafayette; step-daughters, Ginnie Wuertley (Fred) of Plainfield, Aileen Hicks (Tom) of Mooresville, Suzie Belcher (Bobby) of Monrovia; brother, Tony Ciresi (Ruth Ann) of Indianapolis; sisters, Kate Peoni of Indianapolis, Ann Raimondi of Indianapolis, Barb Bowles of Indianapolis; 9 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren.

Friends and family will gather on Tuesday, November 20, 2012, 4 – 8 p.m., in the Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville, with the recitation of the rosary at 7 p.m. The service will begin at 11 a.m., Wednesday, November 21, 2012 in the funeral home.
