Mary Jo Jackson

April 3, 1928 — July 19, 2016

Mary Jo (Latham) Jackson, 88 of New Bethlehem, Pennsylvania and formerly of Brooklyn, Indiana and Jonesboro, Indiana passed away July 19, 2016 at UPMC-Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh. She was born April 13, 1928 in Indianapolis to the late Fredrick Latham and Jennette (Lang) Douglass.

Mary Jo was a graduate of Mooresville High School and attended Butler University where she met and fell in love with William E. Jackson. She worked in various places throughout her years, but was proud to be a homemaker for her husband and children for most of her life. A loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Mary Jo will be missed by her loving family and many friends.

Along with her parents, she was also preceded in death by her son, Andrew Scott Jackson.

Survivors include her husband of 67 years, William E. Jackson; six children, William Randolph Jackson of Stanford, North Carolina, Joyce Ann (Brad) Zak of Tallahassee, Florida, Robin Lynn (Steve) Griffin of Spring, TX, Nancy Elaine (Jerry) Thomas of Knoxville, Tennessee, Jill Marie (Mike) Robison of Indianapolis and Terri D. (James) Robinson of New Bethlehem, Pennsylvania; half-brother, Jack Latham of Plant City, Florida; 30 grandchildren and 37 great grandchildren.

Services and visitation were held privately and Mary Jo was buried in her family plot at Brooklyn Cemetery in Brooklyn, Indiana. Final care and funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Carlisle-Branson Funeral Service & Crematory in Mooresville, Indiana.
